During our time together we will focus on your personal story. The first part of the retreat we will help you walk through the joys, losses, and transitions in the power of the cross, and the second part you will be given tools to re-engage the calling that the Father has placed on your heart.

Processing

This retreat is structured to include a time of processing as an individual as well as in a small group. There will be space to connect with others who have similar missionary experiences, along with focused personal time for you to process and be debriefed by our staff. And of course there will be alone time with God. 

wellness

It is important to make wellness, or resilience building, a priority in the areas of body, soul, and spirit. We take 3 days of the retreat to explore and evaluate with you in the areas of spiritual, emotional, social, physical, intellectual and occupational wellness. We think you will be happily surprised with what God wants to say to you regarding these often overlooked areas of wellness.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF REFRESHMENT

The story of the prophet Elijah is a great example of a person experiencing hardship and in need of refreshment. The battle Elijah was in seemed overwhelming. Notice that God did not leave Elijah sitting there. Instead, He supernaturally fed Elijah two times and sent him on a journey for forty days and nights to Mount Sinai. Once he arrived, God asked Elijah why he was running. He asked Elijah to tell his story.  From that exchange God spoke to Elijah in a personal way, showing His power through earthquakes, wind, and fire. Out of all that, what caught Elijah’s heart was, “The sounds of a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his cloak and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave” (1Kings 19). Is that not the case in all of our lives? When we hear the personal whisper of God, refreshment flows and we are able to again hear his voice for the next steps.

 These dates include arrival and departure days. Please plan to arrive between 2-4 PM on the arrival date and depart location by 10 AM on the departure date.

The retreat is specifically designed for those who have lived cross-culturally for a year or more. ​Also included are age-appropriate sessions for youth and children that correlate with the same program in which the parents are participating.

It is a time of focused reflection and connection with the Father, taking time to hear His perspective on the past and His guidance for the future.

​​All retreats will be held at our newly remodeled Radiant Life Retreat Center on beautiful Three Mile Lake in Paw Paw, Michigan. Check the schedule to see which dates would work best for you.

$1,200/adult (post high school/secondary school) •  $2,300/couple  ​
$100/child 0-2  • $150/child 3-6  •  $300/youth 7-12   
$500/youth 13-high school/secondary school
This covers lodging, meals and supplies for the whole retreat.

Our trained staff varies for each retreat, but all come with many years of experience. They are well founded in knowing how to listen to you and direct you to the Father. As a staff from all over the states, and even our Europe branch, we connect annually to further our learning, improve our ministry and grow our relationships.
